Mish - That is excellent news about Lupe!!! Your first subject 66335 Your first subject Icon_cheers . I got a chuckle out of her friend the copy lady driver LOL. Her driving would have scared me too. Sounds like you did a lot of traveling back n forth to school today. Hope you had a great time and a great day...

Daley - You go girl!! Walking 3.6 mile is a long walk!! Got a chuckly out of your cartoon picture you posted. Very proud of you Lil Bud. The dogs just aren't used to longer walks yet. Not to worry, they will get in shape for them in no time. Hope you had a great day!!

Dy - Wow, post about NG's news was something. I figured it would happen in time. So, the quiet time that they supposedly said RC and MC needed together wasn't really true then. Didn't it say they were enjoying the time away with RC Junior? Hope you got rested up from your long work shift and hope you had a swell day..

De - Good to hear you and Mom got out today. Glad Mom got a Flu shot too. Not sure what 14 day slaw is? Hmmm... The cabbage and sausage sounds yummy!!! It sounds close to the kind I make but mine is with different kind of sausage. Were supposed to get snow here this weekend so, you should get some cooler air from that if the wind is blowing in right direction. Hope you and Mom had a great day.

Flo, BR and Cobbles - Hope to see you all real soon and hope all of you are doing well.

Hi Ripple, is everything okaywith your Mom?

Hi Mica, Yep all is fine with my Mom. Her and my Aunt are going up north tomorrow for a couple of days. One last vacation trip before the snow flies. A couple of my Sisters and their husbands are up there now, so all of them are meeting up tomorrow when Mom and Aunt get there. I'm moving to her house to take care of the pups.

Judge: Hand Over Anthony Grand Jury Testimony

Posted: 2:54 pm EDT October 6, 2009Updated: 6:54 pm EDT October 6, 2009ORLANDO, Fla. -- A judge ordered Tuesday (read order) that the grand jury testimony George Anthony gave in October 2008 be handed over to state prosecutors in the case against Casey Anthony.

READ: Judge's Order On Grand Jury Testimony
VIDEO REPORT: Testimony Must Be Handed Over

Prosecutors wanted a transcript of George Anthony's secret grand jury testimony given on October 14, 2008 that led to the first-degree murder indictment against his daughter Casey. Casey was arrested the very next day. Prosecutors asked for the testimony to be used in the murder trial of Casey set for next summer.

"... the original of said transcript shall be delivered to the State Attorney," Judge Stan Strickland wrote in the order issued Tuesday afternoon.

George, a former detective, told investigators he recognized the unmistakable odor of a dead body in the trunk of Casey's car when he picked it up at a wrecker service.

MORE DOCS EXPECTED TO BE RELEASED

Also this week, the state is expected to release more documents in the case.

Eyewitness News has learned they are releasing every document the state has received to date that hasn't been released.

With the latest released expected this week, there will be a total of 10,400 pages released so far.

    BAEZ ANSWERS "PLEA DEAL" QUESTION

For the very first time in the case against Casey Anthony, her lawyer says he won't rule out the chance of a plea deal.

"Any plea that would ever be taken would have to be taken by Casey,” Jose Baez told Geraldo Rivera during an interview over the weekend

Oh My 10,400 pages of doc to be released yet. Gonna take me forever to read them all.

Casey Anthony: WFTV asks if Jose Baez signals shift in defense

Did a Jose Baez interview this weekend signal a new approach in the defense of Casey Anthony?
On Fox News Channel, Geraldo Rivera interviewed Baez and brought up a plea deal for Anthony.
"That's not my decision to make," Baez told Rivera. "Any plea that would ever be taken would have to be taken by Casey, and she would have to accept the plea if one were offered."
Anthony is charged with the first-degree murder of her daughter, Caylee. What did Baez's words mean?

WFTV-Channel 9's Kathi Belich said, as far as she knew, prosecutors aren't offering a deal. Belich noted the "surprising" shift in Baez's words: "Up until now, he's insisted Casey is innocent and she has a very compelling reason not for calling law enforcement for a month after Caylee disappeared."

WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer scoffed at Baez's response: "The proper response would be: Are you kidding me? She's innocent. We've pled not guilty. We're going to trial."

Belich said noted that Baez started the Rivera interview by saying the evidence against Anthony is weak and the case should be thrown out.
Sheaffer again blasted the defense's approach: "There's one thing consistent about the defense. And that's their ability to continue to make inconsistent statements, one right after another."

Baez had no response to WFTV's story, Belich said. But WFTV put the Rivera interview at the top of its 5 o'clock news tonight. "Up until now, Casey's defense team and her family have insisted there would be no deal," anchor Bob Opsahl said.

WESH-Channel 2's Bob Kealing interviewed Jim Thompson, a Maitland computer store owner who's a new witness in the case. Thompson said he saw Casey and Caylee Anthony coming out of a Casselberry Walmart on the last day grandfather George Anthony saw the little girl.

Thompson wonders if there's a Walmart video that might confirm what he's saying, Kealing said.
What to make of Thompson's statement?
"Sources close to the prosecution say it appears that Thompson is sincere in his beliefs, but are they willing and ready to take what he is claiming in his sworn statement as gospel?" Kealing said. "The indication we get is, no, they are not."

WESH, WFTV and WKMG-Channel 6 reported that prosecutors today filed a response to the Anthony defense team's motion to dismiss the murder and aggravated child-abuse charges against her. Prosecutors say the defense's motion is "legally incorrect" and "fatally flawed," Kealing said.

WKMG's Tony Pipitone said, "Prosecutors today effectively tried to take the defense team to school -- law school, pointing out rules in effect for 41 years in Florida require Casey Anthony to face trial except under very limited circumstances."

Pipitone added: "And this, they say, is not one of those circumstances."
The defense's motion does not contain a sworn statement from Anthony, Pipitone explained. Prosecutors have asked Judge Stan Strickland not even to consider the defense motion.
WKMG anchor Jacqueline London said that Strickland could decide on the motions on his own or hear lawyers' arguments at a hearing.

Hi All - Wow been quiet here today. Thread still messing up?
Took the afternoon off work and got moved into my Mom's house to watch the pups while she's up north. I've been going pretty much non stop since I got here, doing things outside while it is not raining. Mowed the yard, took 90 % of the deck furniture in and put it in the basement, got all the hoses and statues in and put away, disconnected the pond filter and cleaned that up for the season, blew the deck off and not doing anymore work today. The rest that is her wicker furniture that is underneath the Gazebo. Not looking forward to taking that Gazebo thing down and will need my brother to help with that. It's supposed to rain here the rest of the week and snow this weekend. Oh Joy!!
I haven't checked out the news yet, but will. Hope everyone had a great day!!

Haleigh Cummings' dad to divorce wife, attorney says

Ronald Cummings wed Misty Croslin Cummings a little over a month after Haleigh Cummings went missing.

The father and step-mother of missing Satsuma girl Haleigh Cummings are set to file for divorce in the coming days, Ronald Cumming's lawyer said Wednesday.

"We are negotiating with her [Misty Croslin Cummings] attorney at this time," said Brandon Beardsley, who is representing Ronald Cummings. "She won't contest it."

Ronald Cummings and his 17-year-old girlfriend were wed on March 12 in Putnam County, a little over a month after Cumming's 5-year-old daughter disappeared.

Croslin Cummings was at home alone with the girl and her younger brother the child went missing. She told investigators she awoke in the middle of the night and noticed the door to their double-wide trailer ajar. Cummings was at work at the time.

Law enforcement has spent countless hours searching for the missing child and recently drained a pond to look for clues. The girl has not been found. Investigators have questioned Croslin numerous times in relation to the child's disappearance.

Beardsley said the divorce is something that the two recently began talking about and that the on-going investigation did not have anything to do with the divorce.

"There are too many strains on the marriage," Beardsley said. "They are a young couple and with the media and the daily scrutinization that they receive, it's taken a toll on the relationship."

Casey Swears She Did Not Report Caylee Missing Until July 15

ORLANDO -- Prosecutors will be able to get the grand jury testimony from George Anthony to use in the case against Casey Anthony.
Judge Stan Strickland issued his decision Tuesday afternoon.
George testified before the grand jury in October 2008, one day before his daughter Casey was indicted for the murder of Caylee Anthony.
Prosecutors requested the testimony in preparation for the trial.
In other developments, Casey's defense team has added to its motion to have murder charges against her dismissed.

The additions include a document signed by Casey, swearing that she did not report Caylee missing until her mother called on July 15, 2008, and that she told deputies she dropped Caylee off with a woman named Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez.

Casey's trial is expected to begin next summer

Clark Appears In Court, Does Not Enter Plea

Yale Lab Technician Charged In Graduate Student's Death

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The suspect in the death of Yale graduate student Annie Le appeared in court Tuesday, but did not enter a plea.

Raymond Clark III, a former Yale lab technician, is charged with murder in the death of Le. Her remains were found inside a laboratory wall on her would-be wedding day, five days after she went missing.

Clark is accused of strangling Le and putting her body behind the basement wall. He worked as an animal lab technician, cleaning floors and mouse cages in the lab where Le performed work.

Police have called Le's death an instance of "workplace violence," but haven't disclosed a motive.

Both sides have entered motions for documents to remain sealed in the case. Those motions are scheduled to be heard on Oct. 20.

None of Clark's family was in court Tuesday. An attorney for Clark's sister said she didn't not want to attend the court appearance because of the media presence.

WKMG's Tony Pipitone said, "Prosecutors today effectively tried to take the defense team to school -- law school, pointing out rules in effect for 41 years in Florida require Casey Anthony to face trial except under very limited circumstances."

Prosecutors: Casey’s Defense Filed Bogus Motion

Posted: 4:13 pm EDT October 8, 2009ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- In a new document filed Thursday, prosecutors are accusing Casey Anthony’s defense team of filing yet another bogus motion, this time over the death penalty.

The defense wants the judge to take the death penalty off the table, but prosecutors say judges don't have that authority.

Prosecutors went as far as saying either the defense team doesn't understand the law or is purposely misstating it to grandstand.

Prosecutors say a hearing on the issue would be a waste of the court's time.
    DEFENSE WANTS CHARGES DROPPED

Eyewitness News got a better idea of how Casey Anthony’s attorneys are trying to convince a judge to drop her murder and child abuse charges.

In order to get those charges dropped, prosecutors say Casey must swear the evidence they have is true and convince a judge it's not enough to convict her.

    DOCUMENT: Addendum To Motions

However, so far, she's only admitted to two things.

The first is that she didn't report her daughter, Caylee Anthony, missing until her mother, Cindy, called 911. The second is that Casey told investigators she last saw the child with a woman named Zenaida Gonzalez.

Also Wednesday, Casey's defense team got another 42 pages from prosecutors detailing forensic entomology reports from August 28 and December 11 of 2008. Those reports talked about the insects experts analyzed from the trunk of Casey's car and the scene where Caylee's remains were found.
